CONSIDERED GARDEN
III. For Landscape Designers

Your planting plans, presented as your studio

You design the garden. I prepare the planting plan your client sees, or design the planting with you. Always under your studio’s name.

Two ways to work together

You receive•Illustrated planting plan, PDF and PNG, A1/A3 or 24×36 in. Not editable CAD files

No visual identity yet? Add Studio Identity: a logo and colour palette for your studio, quoted separately.

SERVICE 02

Planting Design

You set the direction. I design the planting.

Your studio sends the base project and the conditions of the site. I develop the planting: first a proposal of palette and layout, then the final illustrated plan.

You send•Base plan (PDF), photographs, orientation and sun, climate zone, the style you are after, plants to keep or avoid
You receive•A planting proposal, then the final plan with its plant list

I work at a distance: plant availability and site conditions are confirmed by your studio.

01 · What you sendA landscape designer’s CAD base plan of a curved bed, with dimensionsThe bed, as you designed it.
02 · What your client seesThe planting plan for the same bed, with a magnified detail showing the coded plantsThe planting plan, every plant placed and coded.

A real collaboration with a landscape studio, shown with permission.

One studio, its own drawing language

Beyond the standard symbols, a studio can have a language of its own. It has two parts, designed once and used on every project after.

Part of a hand-painted planting plan around a pool: each plant drawn in its own watercolour mark
I · Its own way of drawing plantsHow each plant looks on the plan: one vocabulary of marks and colour, recognisably the studio’s.
The planting plan of the bed beside the pool, drawn with coded circles and its plant list
II · Each bed, drawn to planThe same bed beside the pool, drawn to scale with its codes and plant list.

Additions

Planting Visuals•Atmosphere images of the finished planting, generated with AI from your plan. Quoted per image

How it works

  1. You request a quote, with a few lines about your studio and the project.
  2. I reply with what I would do, the timing and a quote.
  3. You send the files: base plan, plant list or site information, logo and colours.
  4. I prepare the plan and send it for your review. Two rounds of revisions are included.
  5. You receive the files, ready for your client.

A sample commission

Made for an imaginary studio, Hollin & Vale Garden Design, to show the whole process. Open each plate to see it full size.

Questions

Do you work with my CAD file?

Yes: send it as a PDF export of your plan. I don’t draw base plans or survey sites; the layout and dimensions come from your studio. I deliver PDF and PNG files, not editable CAD files.

How many revisions are included?

Two rounds. A revision is a colour, a symbol, a drift moved, a name corrected. A change of design, such as a new palette or a new layout, or a change after approval, is quoted separately.

Will my client know you drew it?

No. The work is white label: it is delivered under your studio’s name, and I never contact your client.

Is my project confidential?

Yes. I don’t show or share your projects, and I only show work in my portfolio with your permission.

Can I use the work commercially?

Yes. Once paid, the drawings are yours to use for your client and your studio.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size and complexity of the project; the timing is agreed in the quote. Faster delivery is available for Planting Plan Presentation, for an additional fee.

Request a quote

A few lines are enough to begin. If it suits us both, I’ll ask for the files and the details.
